Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Downey, California is seeking a trained Package Handler trainer to teach loading, unloading, palletizing, scanning, and handling techniques to ensure safe, efficient package movement.

You will train peers, reinforce dock safety standards, and report conditions to managers to help optimize operation flow. No minimum experience required beyond 6 months as a PH preferred. This full-time role offers $23.50/hour with company benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to train multiple peer PHs simultaneously.
• Ability to understand and follow instruction regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information in order to sort packages correctly.
• Ability to use basic tools and equipment such as skate wheel rollers, dock carts, hand-held scanners, chutes and unloading devices.

Responsibilities

• Trains new PHs in unloading, loading, palletizing, carrying, smalls handling, SWAK, and non-conveyable package handling techniques.
• Provides training to other PHs who need instruction on various handling techniques.
• Provides feedback on proper package handling techniques as needed.
• Reinforces dock safety standards among peer PHs.
• Updates managers on conditions during the sort to aid operation efficiency decisions.
• Assists in implementing new package handling procedures and techniques.
• Loads/unloads, palletizes, and moves packages while training others.
