Job summary

FedEx Downey Station seeks a trainer for Package Handlers to educate new hires on unloading, loading, palletizing and scanning methods. You will reinforce safety practices and ensure efficient, safe movement of packages through the operation.

You will coach peers, implement new handling procedures, and support shift operations while meeting DOT and safety requirements. This role demands physical work and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six months PH experience with FedEx Ground preferred.
• Ability to train multiple peers simultaneously.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Trains new PHs on unloading, loading, palletizing and handling techniques.
• Provides training and guidance on SWAK, non-conveyable handling and safety.
• Reinforces dock safety standards among peers.
• Updates management on conditions during sort and operation efficiency.
• Loads/unloads and assists with new handling procedures.
