Qualifications

• No formal education required; six months of experience as a Package Handler (PH) with FedEx Ground preferred.
• Ability to train multiple PHs simultaneously and follow instructions precisely.
• Strong safety awareness and the ability to reinforce dock safety standards.
• Must be able to read numbers and information to sort packages correctly.

Responsibilities

• Trains new PHs on unloading, loading, palletizing, and scanning techniques.
• Provides instruction to PHs on handling and safety procedures as directed by management.
• Maintains clear communication with managers about conditions during sort operations.
• Loads/unloads and sorts packages; assists in implementing new procedures as needed.
• Operates hand-to-surface methods and uses equipment such as scanners and carts.
