Job summary

FedEx is seeking a Training Package Handler to coach and mentor other Package Handlers in loading, unloading, palletizing, scanning, and safe handling of packages. The role emphasizes hands-on training, safety compliance, and collaboration across the dock team.

The successful candidate will train peers, uphold DOT and safety standards, and support operational efficiency by providing real-time feedback to managers. This position is on-site in a fast-paced, physical work environment.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler with FedEx Ground preferred.
• Ability to train multiple peer PHs simultaneously.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to discern numbers and sort packages correctly.

Responsibilities

• Trains new PHs in unloading, loading, palletizing, and related techniques.
• Provides ongoing training and feedback to PHs on proper handling.
• Reinforces dock safety standards among peers.
• Communicates condition updates to managers for efficiency decisions.
• Assists in implementing new package handling procedures.
• Loads/unloads trains others while handling packages and equipment.
