Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking a Package Handler Trainer to coach peers in unloading, loading, palletizing, and scanning techniques. You will ensure safe, efficient movement of packages by hand and may rotate through Loader, Unloader, Palletizer, SWAK, QA, and other positions.

Role emphasizes hands-on training, safety compliance, and rapid feedback to improve performance in a busy hub environment. Relevant experience or prior PH roles support preferred candidacy.

Qualifications

• No experience required; six months of experience as a PH with FedEx Ground preferred.
• Ability to train multiple peer PHs simultaneously.
• Ability to understand and follow instruction regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
• PHs operating switching equipment must have a valid driver's license and maintain a DOT file.

Responsibilities

• Trains new PHs in unloading, loading, palletizing, carrying, smalls handling, SWAK, and non-conveyable package handling techniques.
• Provides training to PHs needing additional instruction on unloading, carrying, loading, palletizing, smalls handling, SWAK, or non-conveyable package handling techniques.
• Provides feedback on proper package handling techniques, as needed.
• Reinforces dock safety standards among peer PHs.
• Updates managers on conditions during the sort to aid operation efficiency decisions.
• Assists in implementing new package handling procedures and techniques.
• Loads/unloads, palletizes, lifts, carries, pushes, and pulls packages while training others.
