Job summary

Ambry Genetics Corporation in the Pacific Northwest seeks an Area Sales Director to drive laboratory sales of genetic diagnostic testing services across Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. You will lead 6-8 account executives, develop strategies, coach, manage contracts, and expand in major metro areas while traveling 50%+.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years selling laboratory services to clinicians and hospitals.
• 7+ years of managerial experience in sales.
• Strong MS Office and CRM experience.
• Track record of selling laboratory testing to diverse medical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 6-8 Account Executives and Senior Account Executives.
• Create and implement effective sales strategies for the team.
• Coach and develop staff with active performance feedback.
• Supervise through field visits and observations.
• Maintain competitive knowledge to adjust sales strategies.
• Manage territory and national expansion in major metros.
• Sell genetic diagnostic testing services to new customers.
• Negotiate and manage contracts.
• Introduce new testing products.
• Develop and deliver presentations and participate in trade shows.
• Manage customer data in the company database.
• Achieve sales goals and other duties as assigned.
