Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd is seeking a dedicated device patient care technician to support the cardiology department in managing patients with pacemakers and ICDs. You will perform device interrogations, remote monitoring, and reprogramming as needed, ensuring high-quality care in a busy clinical setting.

The role requires knowledge of cardiac devices, strong computer skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with patients and care teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree encouraged/preferred.
• Familiar with cardiac devices, such as pacemakers and automatic internal defibrillator systems.
• 3-5 years clinical cardiovascular experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care for cardiac device patients, including device interrogations and remote checks.
• Perform device interrogations and reprogramming in office and urgent walk-in settings.
• Interpret arrhythmias and troubleshoot device settings per department protocols.
• Collaborate with Electrophysiologists, Cardiologists, and Device Nurses to ensure quality care.
