Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd is seeking a dedicated cardiovascular device technician to support the Cardiology department in Cedartown. You will manage device interrogations, perform remote monitoring, and assist in reprogramming pacemakers and ICDs for our patients.

You will educate patients, coordinate with clinicians, and ensure timely documentation in the EMR, contributing to high-quality heart care across satellite offices as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 3–5 years of clinical cardiovascular experience.
• Familiar with cardiac devices such as pacemakers and ICDs.
• Good computer and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify arrhythmias and device abnormalities.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient device interrogations and repository of data per protocol.
• Perform remote transmissions review and correlate with clinical status.
• Interrogate and reprogram pacemaker/defibrillator devices as needed.
• Interpret arrhythmias and adjust device settings per department guidelines.
• Educate patients and families about device function and care.
• Coordinate with physicians and device RN/ECG teams to ensure continuity of care.
