Job summary

IKEA is seeking a People & Culture professional in Maryland to support HR activities and ensure a positive co-worker experience. You will drive local processes and brand-aligned learning programs in collaboration with LOS Specialists.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in P&C, strong communication, and the ability to influence across levels in a fast-paced environment. This role is on-site with a focus on local HR delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Execute operational P&C activities, collaborating with LOS Specialists to deliver co-worker experience.
  • Ensure delivery of learning activities at unit/function level including legally required trainings.
  • Coordinate local employer communications and events to build IKEA brand.
  • Deploy local services such as uniforms, contracts, timekeeping and payroll-related tasks.
  • Manage local onboarding/offboarding as main contact including equipment and access.

JOB TYPE – Salary Exempt

HOURS - 9-6:30 PM

PAY - pay range for this role is between $79,873.00 to $126,199.00

The anticipated posting closing date is on or around 9/28/2026

What you'll be doing day to day
  • Execute operational P&C activities, collaborating with other LOS Specialists as needed to deliver an excellent co-worker experience.
  • Ensure and execute delivery of learning activities at unit/function level including legally required trainings.
  • Ensure local employer communication activities and events are consistent, well perceived and build on the IKEA brand.
  • Deploy services that are required to be executed at a local level such as uniforms, contracts, timekeeping and parts of payroll administration.
  • Manage local on- and off-boarding activities as main contact person including equipment, accesses and welcome day among others.
  • Execute operational P&C activities at unit/function level, collaborating with other LOS specialists, point of local contact when helpdesk is not sufficient/escalation to support complex situations that require specialistic knowledge.
