Job summary

Chittenden Group, a fourth-generation Connecticut insurance agency, is hiring a Personal Lines Producer. The role focuses on building relationships with clients and referral partners in a fast-paced independent environment. Base compensation plus commission is offered, with mentoring from top performers.

The ideal candidate will hold a Property & Casualty license, demonstrate a proven sales track record, and excel at presenting competitive quotes and closing new business in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Must currently possess a Property & Casualty license.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Team player for a fast-paced environment that possesses empathy and persuasion.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Proven work experience in sales, marketing, promotions, or telemarketing.

Responsibilities

• Develop ongoing networking relationships with Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Lenders, Title Companies, Auto Dealers, etc.
• Prospect for new business by referrals, networking, marketing, cold-calling, and lead databases.
• Prepare and present complete and competitive insurance quotes within a timely fashion.
• Foster strong relationships with our customers to maintain client retention and product loyalty.
• Round out accounts by offering additional personal lines coverages or policies.
• Meet new business production goals and objectives as established.
• Present insurance policy options based on client needs and objectives.
• Develop quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
