Job summary

Chittenden Group, a leading Connecticut insurance agency, seeks a Personal Lines Account Manager to service a book of personal lines accounts in the Brookfield office. You will manage client communications, nurture relationships, and ensure data is accurately tracked in our secure systems.

The role offers a hybrid remote working arrangement after a training period, with Monday–Friday schedule and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years or more of insurance industry experience related to managing personal lines accounts.
• Active Property and Casualty license.
• Experience with Agency Management Systems.
• Knowledge of computer software packages, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong client relationships to maintain retention and loyalty.
• Service a book of business, including new and renewal marketing and placement.
• Cultivate new business with existing and new accounts.
• Act as liaison between clients, prospects and carriers.
• Prepare timely, complete insurance quotes for customers.
• Cross-sell additional personal lines coverages.
• Conduct regular account reviews to improve retention.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong relationships with our clients to maintain a high level of client retention and product loyalty.
• Perform the essential duties of servicing a book of business, including new and renewal marketing and placement.
• The ability to cultivate new business with both existing and new accounts is also a critical function of this position.
• Be the connection between the company, clients/prospects and the multiple insurance carriers represented by the company.
• Prepare timely and complete insurance quotes for customers.
• Round out accounts by offering additional personal lines coverages.
• Conduct regular account reviews to improve retention.
• Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction, respond to queries, and solve or refer problems.
