Job summary

RMS Energy Co, LLC is seeking a P&C Field Technician II to support protection and control operations through hands-on testing, maintenance, and commissioning of transmission and distribution power equipment. You will work with relay systems, pilot channels, and substation controls in a fast‑moving utility services environment.

The role requires 3–5 years in protection and control, SCADA experience, and strong documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in protection and control testing, relay commissioning, and substation fieldwork.
• Familiarity with SCADA, data/fault analysis tools, and automation equipment.
• Strong knowledge of three-phase systems, relays, test equipment, and protection schemes.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection and control relay testing, including voltage/current inputs and meter verification.
• Troubleshoot and repair substation relays and control systems.
• Commission new substations and related equipment, including pilot channels and communications gear.
• Plan and execute testing activities with minimal supervision and zero service interruptions.
• Document work accurately and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
