RMS Energy is seeking a P&C Field Technician II or III in Florida to perform field testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of protection and control systems at utility and industrial sites. You will work with relays, pilot channels, and substation equipment, enabling project execution across multiple sites.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with relay calibration, SCADA familiarity, and a strong understanding of three-phase systems.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience with relay calibration, commissioning, and checkout of protection/control systems
• Familiarity with SCADA, fault/SER systems, integration automation gear, and data analysis
• Strong understanding of three-phase systems, test equipment, wiring, and safety practices
• Skilled in reading wiring and elementary diagrams
• Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsabilidades

• Test and commission protection and control relays (electromechanical, solid state, microprocessor)
• Verify current/voltage inputs, SCADA metering, trip outputs, and local alarms
• Perform troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of substation relaying and control systems
• Commission new substations, including power equipment, pilot channels, and comms systems
• Interpret and apply test procedures, equipment specs, and protection schemes
• Support field service teams with documentation, coordination, and reporting
• Communicate effectively with diverse clients, contractors, and teammates
• Plan and execute tasks efficiently with minimal disruption to ongoing service
• Work outdoors and indoors in utility environments with strict safety protocols
