Job summary

Emory University is seeking a Manager of Facilities for the Oxford campus to lead operations and maintenance, ensuring adherence to codes and university standards. The role oversees budgets, staff, and collaboration across departments to support campus growth and renovation projects.

The position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and eight years of facilities maintenance experience, with at least five years in supervision, and a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, facilities management, or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Eight years of general building/facilities maintenance experience, including five years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of building trades, HVAC systems, chiller/boiler operations, emergency generators and auto transfer switches.
• Ability to read blueprints and produce KPI reports using spreadsheet/reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations and maintenance of the Oxford campus and ensure compliance with codes, standards and university guidelines.
• Develop and manage maintenance and operation program for the Oxford campus, including use of in-house trades, service contracts and vendors.
• Oversee grounds, mechanical and trades work, plan campus growth and capital renewal.
• Collaborate with Campus Services and the Director of Operations to align alterations, renovations and new construction with long-range plans.
• Plan, administer and monitor budgets; hire, train, supervise and evaluate maintenance staff.
• Conduct stakeholder meetings to determine service level performance goals and ensure targets are met.
