Job summary

Amazon's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction seeks a Construction Manager to act as the owner's rep for delivery of built facilities supporting our logistics network. You will manage the full construction lifecycle—from design review and contractor procurement through construction execution and handover—for new builds, retrofits, and expansions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years with AutoCAD or BIM and scheduling software (Primavera/MS Project).
• 5+ years as Architect/Engineer/Construction Manager or related construction discipline.
• 5+ years of project management from design to handover.
• 5+ years of negotiating construction, procurement, or labor contracts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Amazon's owner's representative and primary construction integrator across all assigned projects.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design phase through construction completion and handover.
• Review contractor bid packages, budgets, and schedules; resolve discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management.
• Negotiate construction, procurement, and labor contracts with developers and GC.
• Audit contractor performance to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with AHJs for permitting, compliance, and approvals.
• Review construction documents for conformance to Amazon's standards.
• Identify design conflicts and schedule clashes, coordinate with internal teams.
• Coach project teams and drive safety-first culture.
