Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC's Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team seeks a Construction Manager to act as the owner's representative delivering built facilities and infrastructure for our logistics network. You will oversee the full construction lifecycle—from design review to handover—for new builds, retrofits, and program initiatives in the assigned region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years in Architect/Engineer/Construction Manager roles.
• 5+ years in project management from design through handover.
• 5+ years negotiating construction, procurement, or labor contracts.
• 5+ years proficiency with AutoCAD and/or BIM and scheduling software.
• Travel up to 60%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as owner's representative and construction integrator across projects.
• Manage multiple projects from design through construction completion and handover.
• Review bid packages, budgets, and schedules; resolve discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management.
• Negotiate contracts with developers and general contractors.
• Audit contractor performance to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate with AHJ for permitting and regulatory compliance.
• Review construction documents for conformance to specs and standards.
• Identify design conflicts and schedule clashes across teams.
• Coach project teams and promote a safety-first culture.
