Job summary

Amazon’s Global Engineering Services (GES) North America Design & Construction team seeks a Construction Manager to serve as Amazon’s owner’s representative for built facilities and infrastructure supporting our logistics network. You’ll manage the full construction lifecycle—from design review and contractor procurement to construction execution and handover—on new builds, retrofits, and expansions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in construction management or related roles.
• 5+ years of project management spanning design to handover.
• 5+ years negotiating construction, procurement, or labor contracts.
• 5+ years proficient with AutoCAD/BIM and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent projects from design through construction completion and handover.
• Review contractor bids, budgets, and schedules; resolve discrepancies.
• Own budget tracking, cashflow forecasting, and cost management.
• Negotiate construction, procurement, and labor contracts with developers and GCs.
• Audit contractor performance for required skills and resources.
• Coordinate with AHJs for permitting and regulatory approvals.
• Ensure conformance to Amazon building specs and design standards.
• Coach project teams and uphold safety-first culture.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
