Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Owner’s Representative, Project Manager to oversee design and construction for higher education, healthcare and institutional expansion and renovation projects, from concept through occupancy. Projects range from $5 Million to $200+ Million, with roles based in Charleston, SC or remote in Savannah, GA.

You will manage scope, schedule, and budget; lead design and construction teams; communicate with clients daily; and prepare monthly owner reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of related project management experience, including ideally 2+ years as Owner’s Representative/Project Manager.
• Experience leading design teams of architects and engineers.
• Strong ability to read plans and specifications and manage complex construction budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple healthcare, higher education, or commercial expansion or renovation projects as an Owner’s Representative, ensuring scope, schedule and budget are controlled.
• Communicate daily with the client and project team.
• Lead the Design Team and coordinate with consultants and vendors.
• Provide day-to-day project oversight and client communications.
• Prepare and distribute meeting notes to the project team.
• Lead the Construction Team on behalf of the owner.
• Develop, track, forecast and modify the project schedule and budget.
• Review contracts, invoices, and payments to contractors and vendors.
• Prepare Monthly Reports to Owner.
• Assist in plan reviews and inspections with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Negotiate contracts and manage occupancy processes.
• Review invoices and change orders; resolve disputes and claims.
