Job summary

Meijer is seeking an experienced store manager in Michigan to lead daily operations, staff scheduling, and a focus on customer service excellence. You will drive sales, ensure adequate staffing, and mentor team members to meet Meijer standards.

The role emphasizes training, performance coaching, and adherence to P&L and shrink controls, while fostering a safe, welcoming store environment for customers and colleagues alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Maintain safety, training, and Meijer standards across the department.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and daily operations.
