Job summary

Lakeview Hospital, a part of LCMC Health, is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist for the night shift to support safe surgeries and maintain a sterile environment. You will anticipate the needs of the surgical team and prepare instrumentation and equipment for procedures.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program, CST certification, and current BLS. Previous OR experience is highly preferred and the role emphasizes independence during overnight

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Previous OR experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the circulating nurse with patient positioning and preparation of the operative site.
• Establish and maintain an organized sterile field.
• Provide scrub assistance during procedures with anatomy and instrument awareness.
• Apply aseptic principles and verify sterilization methods for instruments/equipment.
• Prepare the operating room by opening sterile supplies and sutures per scheduled procedure.
• Follow scrubbing, gowning, gloving, back table setup, draping and counting with the circulating nurse.
