Job summary

A regional medical center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for night shifts to support surgical teams by ensuring sterile environments and assisting with procedures. The role requires a high school diploma, completion of a Surgical Technology Program, and surgical technologist certification. Applicants should be capable of following strict sterile protocols and have physical stamina for the demands of an operating room setting. This is a full-time, entry-level position.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technology Program AND surgical technologist certification required.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• One year of prior scrub experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes quality aseptic technique when working in the OR.
• Performs sponge, instrument, and needle counts with the circulating RN.
• Assists the circulating RN in monitoring technique of all persons in the OR.

Skills

Ability to follow strict sterile technique

Ability to set up operating room with instruments

Knowledge of aseptic techniques

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
