Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the night shift to support operations at the main campus. The role covers room preparation, assisting surgeons, and managing sterile instrumentation for procedures during 11:00pm–7:00am.

Responsibilities include sterilization, inventory control, and adherence to clinical standards. Candidates must have a surgical tech program diploma, a CST or equivalent certification, and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• CST or Tech in Surgery – Certified or CFA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for incoming surgeries.
• Assist surgeon in the operating room.
• Inventory surgical instrumentation and supplies prior to an operation.
• Recount surgical instruments and supplies at the end of an operation.
• Sterilize equipment and stock up on necessary supplies.
• Attend the operating room and perform related duties.
