Job summary

Meijer is seeking an Area Leader to drive engagement and performance across the span of care in the store. You will lead Leads and Team Leaders, coach staff, and influence budgeting, forecasting, and productivity, while upholding Meijer standards and culture.

You will identify talent, provide development opportunities, and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for customers and team members across the store operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with team members to provide clear direction.

Responsibilities

• Engage with team members to ensure onboarding, training and coaching.
• Identify talent and support staffing for leadership roles.
• Hold candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth opportunities.
• Own area operations and financial results, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Drive safety, compliance, and store condition management.
• Lead daily work assignments and training needs for team members.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
