Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is seeking an Area Leader to oversee team engagement, onboarding, coaching, and development across the span of care.

You will drive recognition, feedback, and staffing plans while directing Leads and Team Leaders, with accountability for area operations and financials. You will identify future leaders, ensure safety compliance, and implement process improvements while upholding Meijer's culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in retail/grocery or customer service.
• Progressive leadership experience preferred.
• Strong service orientation.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make decisions.
• Commitment to safety and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee onboarding, training, development, and coaching for team members.
• Identify talent and engage in career discussions to build staffing pipelines.
• Conduct candid discussions to uphold Meijer standards and growth.
• Be accountable for area operations and financial results (P&L) and budgets.
• Drive safety, compliance, and store condition management.
• Guide Team Leaders and Leads; assign daily work and training needs.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required.
