Job summary

Meijer Inc. overnight leadership position in Springfield, OH is seeking an experienced Leader to oversee day-to-day store operations overnight, ensuring customer service, staffing, and performance standards are met.

You will mentor team members, manage staffing and hiring, drive sales while controlling shrink, and uphold training and safety requirements across departments such as meat, bakery, produce and deli. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use it to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in daily store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members and promote career growth.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Drive sales, control shrink and maintain P&L accountability.
• Ensure excellent service, prompt customer care and Meijer standards.
• Maintain store appearance and product presentation during prime hours.
• Promote safety, training completion and Meijer Friendly Initiative.
• Communicate clearly with teams and manage multiple tasks.
