Meijer Inc. is seeking an experienced retail leader to plan, direct, and supervise day-to-day store operations across departments. You will mentor team members, drive customer service, and ensure execution of company standards during peak hours.

You will manage staffing and hiring, promote career development, handle disciplinary actions, and monitor P&L to achieve sales while controlling shrink. The role emphasizes safe, friendly service and consistent Meijer-wide performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information.
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and involvement in promotions.
• Documents disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Mentors and coaches team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Ensures team is thoroughly trained and has completed required training.
• Promotes a safe work environment and Meijer standards.
• Spends majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
