Job summary

BetterNight is hiring a RPSGT/Sleep Technician to support overnight sleep studies across our on-site clinics in Lincoln, RI; Dartmouth, MA; and Leominster, MA. You will verify orders, educate patients, and ensure accurate sensor setup and data collection, including HSAT options.

You will apply electrodes, calibrate equipment, and assist in PAP titration and sleep staging, delivering high-quality patient experiences during overnight hours. Collaboration with the sleep team is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist ( RI license required; MA license a strong plus)
• Current CPR (in-person BLS) certificate
• Ability to work overnight
• Willingness to work at other locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Prepare for sleep studies by reviewing patient history and following protocols
• Greet patients, verify IDs and obtain consent
• Explain procedures and educate patients for in-center or HSAT
• Apply electrodes and sensors per standards
• Assist with PAP interface fitting and desensitization
• Conduct sleep studies (MSLT, MWT, PAP titration, oxygen titration)
• Monitor data quality and correct artifacts
• Document sleep stages and events for scoring
• Support patient safety during procedures
• Complete post-study calibrations and questionnaires
• Assist in scoring sleep/wake stages and events
• Generate preliminary sleep reports
• Instruct patients on HSAT use and data download
• Perform routine equipment care and inventory
• Adhere to sleep center QA policies
