Job summary

BetterNight seeks a qualified Sleep Technician to perform polysomnography studies across on-site clinics in RI/MA, including overnight shifts. The role involves preparing studies, applying sensors, and assisting with HSAT as needed, with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

Requirements include RPSGT or RRT credentials (MA/RI license a strong plus) and CPR/BLS, with overnight availability and flexibility to work at multiple clinic sites. Full-time with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT; MA license a strong plus; RI license acceptable)
• Current CPR (in-person BLS) certificate
• Ability to work overnight
• Availability to work in other locations as needed

Responsibilities

• Prepare for sleep studies by reviewing patient history and verifying orders
• Greet patients, verify ID, collect documents, obtain informed consent
• Explain procedures and provide age-appropriate patient education for in-center or HSAT
• Calibrate and adjust sleep study equipment prior to testing
• Apply electrodes and sensors per standards
• Perform PAP interface fitting and desensitization
• Conduct sleep studies including MSLT/MWT, PAP titration, and oxygen titration
• Monitor data quality and correct artifacts during acquisition
• Document sleep stages and events for scoring and interpretation
• Assist in scoring sleep/wake stages and generating preliminary reports
• Ensure patient safety and therapeutic effectiveness during studies
• Prepare, clean, and disinfect HSAT equipment and instruct home-use data download
