Job summary

Tufts Medicine's Melrose/Wakefield Hospital Sleep Center seeks a Sleep Technologist to evaluate patients and perform in-center and home sleep testing, including overnight polysomnograms. The role requires completing a sleep technology program and being eligible for or holding RPSGT/RST certification.

Responsibilities include operating sleep study equipment, scoring data per AASM guidelines, patient education, and producing accurate reports to support patient care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a sleep technology program.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or eligible for RPSGT or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), or Certified Polysomnographic Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Two years of experience in a sleep lab.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify needs.
• Determine testing parameters with physician or director and center protocols.
• Review history and verify medical orders.
• Follow sleep center protocols for each study.
• Prepare patients and obtain consent for in-center or home sleep testing.
• Score sleep stages and events using AASM standards.
• Generate accurate reports from sleep data.
