Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to join the Sleep Center team. The role entails performing and evaluating overnight polysomnograms under medical supervision, operating specialized equipment, and generating detailed sleep study reports.

The technologist will monitor respiratory events, brain waves, heart rate, and limb movements, ensuring accurate scoring and patient safety. BCLS certification and RPSGT eligibility or certification are required.

Qualifications

• OTJ training in Polysomnography of no less than one year duration.
• Successful passing of the RPSGT exam.
• Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate overnight polysomnograms under medical supervision.
• Operate recording equipment and monitor polysomnography procedures.
• Record review and scoring of polysomnograms and generate concise reports.
• Ensure patient safety and respond to physiological events during sleep studies.
