McLean Hospital Sleep Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Belmont, MA, seeks a Per Diem Polysomnographic Technologist to work the 12-hour shift from 7:00pm to 7:00am. Responsibilities include conducting sleep studies, producing high-quality sleep recordings, and participating in overnight diagnostic testing for inpatient units.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of Sleep Technologist experience, with preference given to those who are registered technologists and have scoring experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a Sleep Technologist.
• Registered Sleep Technologist preferred.
• Scoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs polysomnographic studies in a clinical setting, including oxygen and nasal continuous positive airway pressure titrations.
• Scores studies and formulates reports for physician interpretation.
• Documents all pertinent patient events according to department policy.
• Calibrates and performs routine and troubleshooting maintenance on equipment; notifies proper personnel for equipment problems; cleans all equipment ensuring infection control.
• Consults with physicians regarding patient studies as needed.
• Maintains standards for completeness of quality improvement and quality control measurements.
• May establish and implement performance improvements including education and staff development.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Associate's Degree Health Sciences preferred
