Community Teamwork in Lowell, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor for full-time overnights (Mon-Fri 12am-8am; Sunday-Thursday overnights). The role supports families in a congregate emergency shelter, providing life skills and enforcing program rules with a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.

The position requires a high school diploma and strong customer service, crisis management, and interpersonal skills. It offers a shift differential and a competitive wage.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent crisis management skills.
• Proficient computer skills in basic computer software and data collection.
• Good attention to detail.

Aufgaben

• Assist in completing screening, intakes activities and orientation of new families.
• Under the direction of the Program Managers aids clients with keeping compliance with program expectations.
• Oversees security and safety by making routine interior and exterior checks during their shift.
• Maintain all necessary shift logs.
• Assists individuals with day to day life skills assistance as needed.
• Documents all critical incidents and safety issues using program communication system.
• Ensures basic cleanliness is upkept.
• Completes daily housing keeping duties, including changing of bed linens, cleaning up spills, and other immediate cleaning needs.
• Assists fellow co-workers and volunteers with coordination of events and workshops.
• Coordinates orientation of new clients as they enter the program.
• Maintain clean work areas including prep tables, storage spaces, refrigerators and stoves, and trash removal in accordance with sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Wash dishes, pots, and pans and run dish machine.
