Job summary

Victory Programs, Inc. in Boston seeks Awake Overnight Low Threshold Housing Resident Assistant to support residents and staff, maintain a safe, welcoming environment, and assist with daily operations.

The role reports to the Program Director and requires staying awake during the entire shift, 11pm–7am Sunday to Thursday, on-site. Compensation is $22.28 per hour with comprehensive benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Addiction/Recovery and Harm Reduction Practices or willingness to learn within six months.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to be supportive, directive and compassionate with residents.
• CPR certification (may be obtained upon hire).
• TB screening completed (may be obtained upon hire).
• Three professional references (2 from a manager or supervisor).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly residence and enforce policies.
• Engage residents with crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
• Document observations and incidents in logs and reports.
• Assist with inventory and storage of supplies.
• Provide reception and office support as needed.
• Attend supervision and staff meetings and trainings.
• Conduct safety, security, and wellness rounds as scheduled.
• Work collaboratively with the team to provide client-centered services.
• Staff must be awake for the entire shift.
