The role requires staying awake and alert to ensure safety and provide guidance, maintaining a positive environment for residents. Responsibilities include supervising overnight youth, crisis intervention, life skills coaching, documentation, and collaboration with staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience working with adolescents or young adults.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Experience with homelessness, substance abuse, or related issues preferred.
• Effective communication and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor youth overnight, ensuring safety and adherence to program guidelines.
• Provide advocacy, referrals, crisis intervention, and supportive counseling as needed.
• Orient new residents to program rules and expectations.
• Assist residents in developing life skills, including cooking, socialization, and independent living preparation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with staff.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a culturally sensitive environment.
• Serve as a liaison between the program and community resources.
• Participate in weekly and quarterly program and staff meetings.
