Job summary

MFort Security Services in Chicago is seeking an Overnight Concierge Security Officer to maintain a safe, welcoming environment at a residential property. The role requires strong customer service, a calm demeanor, and prior concierge/front desk security experience.

The successful candidate will greet residents and visitors, enforce access controls, observe and report incidents, patrol the property, and collaborate with property management and contractors while staying compliant with post orders

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid Illinois PERC card and 20-hour security training certificate (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 1 year of residential concierge or front desk security experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure.
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
• Able to work independently and overnights.
• Must pass a drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist residents, guests, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Enforce access control procedures and monitor visitor management systems
• Observe, report, and document incidents, safety hazards, or suspicious activity
• Conduct routine patrols of the property to ensure a secure and orderly environment
• Maintain situational awareness and respond promptly to emergencies or concerns
• Adhere to all company policies, post orders, and client procedures
• Handle packages delivered to the site and place in mail room accordingly
• Communicate effectively with property management, clients, team members, and contractors
• Responsibly use company and client-provided equipment for security and monitoring tasks
• Perform additional duties as required by site management or MFort supervisors
