Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking Awake Overnight Positive Support Specialists (PSS) to work in Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) programs in Champlin, MN. This on-site, full-time role runs 10pm–8am with a 0.38 FTE allocation, focusing on supporting individuals with complex medical, behavioral, and mental health needs.

Responsibilities include helping clients with essential life skills, advocating for rights and care, and completing accurate shift documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
• Knowledge or experience in supporting individuals with complex needs is preferred.
• Knowledge of local community resources is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent in performing essential life skills.
• Advocate for the people supported in rights, medical care, and community involvement.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely and effectively, including potential use of manual restraints after training.
