Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota seeks a Positive Support Specialist (PSS) for Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS). You will support individuals with intensive medical, behavioral, and mental health needs in home and community settings, using person-centered approaches to help people reach their goals while ensuring safety.

Responsibilities include helping with daily living skills, advocacy, documentation, crisis management training, and trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse individuals.
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Background check required (BCA) and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living skills (meals, hygiene, mobility).
• Advocate for clients in rights, medical care, and community access.
• Complete shift documentation and record-keeping accurately.
• Manage crisis situations and participate in PBIS training.
• Provide trauma-informed care as part of daily routines.
