Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking Positive Support Specialists to support individuals in Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) programs. You will help with life skills, advocacy, documentation, and crisis management while applying trauma-informed care principles.

Hours are Friday to Monday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM in a temporary, limited-duration role. We value diversity and offer a supportive ALIVE Workplace with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is a high school diploma; degree in related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with people with complex needs; 3-5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent in daily living skills such as meal prep and personal hygiene.
• Advocate for individuals in areas like rights, medical care, and community involvement.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping each shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely; training provided for Positive Behavioral Supports and related requirements.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.
