Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS) is hiring Positive Support Specialists (PSS) for Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) programs in Saint Cloud. This part-time role supports individuals with complex medical, behavioral and mental health needs, helping them achieve meaningful independence at home and in the community.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills, documenting shifts, crisis safety, trauma-informed care, and advocating for clients.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills required to work with diverse individuals.
• Must be able to stand, walk, or lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Background check clearance and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent with daily living skills.
• Advocate for clients in rights, medical care, and community participation.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely and effectively, with training provided.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.
