Qualifications

• Education: Required HS Diploma with minimum of 2 years job related experience.
• Associate degree with 6 months job-related experience - Preferred.
• Minimum Experience of 1 year preferred in a job-related experience.
• Basic MS Word & MS Excel.
• Customer Service and organizational skills.
• NAHAM certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and/or physicians, staff, and guests; check patients in and guide based on appointment location and billing eligibility.
• Respond to calls; provide information and reduce call wait times.
• Search and select patient records to maintain EMPI integrity and accurate identification.
• Schedule services following protocols in scheduling systems and EMRs; contact patients if needed.
• Enter accurate demographic and financial data to secure payment for services.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain payor information for service authorization.
