Qualifications

• HS Diploma with minimum 2 years job-related experience
• Associate degree with 6 months job-related experience preferred
• Basic MS Word & MS Excel; Customer Service and organizational skills required
• NAHAM certification within one year of hire

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and/or physicians, staff, coworkers and guests promptly and professionally; check patients into the system and provide direction
• Respond to telephone calls according to customer service standards; provide requested information
• Perform accurate search/selection of patient within the hospital system to maintain EMPI accuracy
• Accurately establish and schedule appointments following EMR protocols
• Enter complete demographic and financial information to aid in securing payment
• Verify insurance eligibility and notify payors; obtain billing information and authorization
• Provide estimates for services and solicit patient liability
• Perform other duties as assigned; ensure HIPAA compliance and patient rights
