Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEG, NCV, EP and related neurodiagnostic procedures in a 40-hour weekly schedule, with potential weekend rotation. The role requires ABRET EEG certification within 2 years and ongoing credentialing, plus BLS and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate test results, proper use of equipment, and mentoring new technologists and interns.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; graduate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program with 3 years of experience preferred.
BLS required.
EEG registry or eligibility for EEG registry preferred.
ABRET certification in EEG required within 2 years of hire; ongoing department requirements for EEG board registry preparation are required within 3 years of hire.
Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Performs routine and complex EEG, NCV, EP and other neurodiagnostic procedures.
Follows equipment manuals, calibration procedures and fixes basic issues.
Obtains relevant patient information from records and reports to the technologist.
Adapts techniques to optimize results based on history and findings.
Maintains accurate record keeping and data archives.
Supervises and mentors new technologists and interns.
