Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Electroencephalographic Technologist to perform and interpret EEGs, portable inpatient EEGs, and related neurodiagnostic procedures. The role includes preparing patients, obtaining histories, and explaining test procedures to patients and families.

Candidates should have a High School diploma, about 2 years of Neurodiagnostic experience, and pursue ABRET EEG Technologist registration within 1 year.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Typically 2 years of Neurodiagnostic Tech experience.
• R EEG T registration must be obtained within 1 year; BLS within 6 months unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Performs and maintains competency in EEGs and portable inpatient EEGs, applying electrodes and calibrating equipment.
• Gathers patient history and explains procedures to patient and family.
• Performs tests per lab standards and adjusts controls for optimal recordings.
