Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform routine and complex EEG, nerve conduction studies (NCV), and evoked potential procedures. The role requires strong knowledge of equipment operation, ABRET standards, and accurate record keeping.

The candidate will manage test strategies, maintain patient data from medical records, and provide supervision to new technologists and students while ensuring infection control and safe handling of hazardous materials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program with 3 years of experience preferred.
• BLS required; EEG registry or EEG registry eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex EEG procedures, NCV, EP and other neurodiagnostic tests.
• Adheres to ABRET standards for test recordings and maintains accurate records.
• Provides preceptor supervision to new technologists and student interns.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and participates in procurement for the department.
• Verbalizes actions during seizures and medical emergencies; ensures infection control practices.
