Job summary

Advocate Health Cabarrus seeks a Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEG, NCV, and evoked potential procedures with meticulous data collection in a 40-hour work week. You will participate in a 4x10 schedule, including weekends, call, and holiday rotations, and may float to nearby facilities as staffing needs require.

Qualifications include a neurodiagnostic program graduate with 3 years’ experience, BLS, and EEG registry eligibility within 2 years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; graduate from accredited Neurodiagnostic program with 3 years of experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• EEG registry or eligibility for EEG registry preferred.
• Board eligibility for ABRET certification in EEG required within 2 years of hire; ongoing departmental requirements for EEG board registry preparation within 3 years.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with experience handling sensitive issues and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex EEG procedures, NCV, EP and related tests per specialty training.
• Maintain equipment calibration per operator’s manual and diagnose basic issues.
• Keep accurate records and transfer findings to technologist report.
• Contribute to preceptor supervision of new technologists and interns.
• Assist with ordering and maintaining department supplies.
• Adhere to infection control practices and proper hazardous materials handling.
