Job summary

Advocate Health’s Pineville Neurodiagnostic team seeks an experienced technologist to perform EEG, NCV, and evoked potential studies, ensuring high-quality data and patient safety.

The role involves odd hours with a primary night shift (Mon–Fri 11pm–7am) and potential weekend rotation, with sign-on bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits. Requires strict adherence to ABRET standards and ongoing certification progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited Neurodiagnostic program with 3 years of experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• EEG registry or eligibility for EEG registry preferred.
• Board eligibility for ABRET certification in EEG is required within 2 years of hire; ongoing departmental requirements for EEG board registry preparation within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Performs EEG, NCV, EP procedures and related tests.
• Operates and calibrates equipment; identifies and corrects basic issues.
• Performs Neurodiagnostic procedures with appropriate strategy and montage.
• Transfers patient history to technologist's report.
• Adapts methods to obtain optimal results based on history and findings.
• Maintains complete records and archived data.
• Assists with long-term monitoring, intraoperative neuromonitoring as needed.
• Responds appropriately to seizures and medical emergencies.
• Maintains infection control and hazardous materials handling.
• Provides supervision to new technologists and interns and participates in supply management.
