Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI studies under general supervision. The role includes patient prep, positioning, imaging protocol selection, image acquisition, processing, and QA.

You may rotate to different MRI scanners and collaborate with radiologists and staff. The position requires ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT eligibility within one year, 0-1 year MRI experience, and a commitment to patient safety.

Qualifications

• MRI-related education or certificate/diploma or an associate degree in Medical Imaging.
• ARRT MR or ARMRIT credentials preferred; eligibility within 1 year.
• 0-1 year MRI experience with multiple patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam details according to Joint Commission standards.
• Perform MRI scans with image acquisition and processing for diagnostic quality.
• Safely perform IV insertions and contrast injections with adverse reaction monitoring.
• Educate patients on MRI safety and enforce safety protocols.
• Conduct quality control checks on MRI equipment and document issues.
• Support scheduling, transport, inventory and filing as needed.
