Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital, Inc. seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI studies, prepare patients, position, set imaging parameters, acquire images, and ensure safety.

ARRT MR or ARMRIT credentials preferred; 1–2 years of experience; education in Medical Imaging required. Evening onsite role at 1153 Centre Street, with a generous sign‑on bonus of $20,000.

Qualifications

• MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT preferred; ARRT MR required within one year.
• 1-2 years of MRI experience preferred.
• Education: Certificate/Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Medical Imaging.
• Must be able to lift and transfer patients and operate MRI equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam details per Joint Commission standards.
• Conduct MRI scans for ambulatory/outpatient patients, including image acquisition and processing.
• Perform IV insertions and contrast injections; monitor for adverse reactions and document in EMR.
• Educate patients on MRI safety and respond to equipment-related emergencies.
• Perform quality control checks on MRI equipment and report issues.
• Assist with scheduling, patient transport, inventory, and filing.
