Job summary

Mass General Brigham in Massachusetts seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI studies, prepare patients, position, and acquire images. The role requires ARRT OR ARMRIT certification within a year, with access to an MRI system and related safety protocols.

Responsibilities include patient education on MRI safety, quality control of equipment, and collaboration with radiologists and nurses. Onsite duties at North Shore Medical Center with night shifts. Strong team orientation is essential.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist required with ARRT or ARMRIT within one year of hire.
• Education: Medical Imaging certificate/diploma or an associate degree preferred.
• Must be able to operate MRI equipment and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and exam details per Joint Commission.
• Conduct MRI scans for ambulatory patients including image acquisition and processing.
• Safely perform IV insertions and contrast injections, monitor for adverse reactions, document in EMR.
• Educate patients on MRI safety and respond to emergencies.
• Perform quality control checks on MRI equipment.
• Assist with scheduling, transport, inventory, and filing.
