Job summary

New Narrative, a nonprofit in Portland, seeks a Residential Support Specialist to work overnight Thursday-Sunday 10:00 PM–8:00 AM. You will join a multidisciplinary team to support residents in mental health residential programs, helping with daily living tasks, life skills and therapeutic activities.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, CPR certification, and the ability to administer Naloxone.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required.
• Naloxone (Narcan) administration capability.
• QMHA credentials preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage residents to support movement toward goals and transition planning.
• Assist with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
• Provide medication assistance and ensure medication management safety.
• Participate in team meetings and crisis intervention using de-escalation techniques.
• Facilitate group activities and community engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment.
